Hazel Custom and Gaia Gundam

Today,
it is an excellent day to visit Auchtung! Hobby Japan to grab some of the HGUC kits.
Despite today being a festive holiday, I recalled Mr. Nakamoto saying that he will open his shop for his lonely-hearted students (how mean can he get, saying it before his students!).
But not surprisingly, it ain't open today.
Hence, I made my way over to Hobby Art Gallery (HAG) to check out what they've got.
Today is their first business day after the holidays,
so she gave a special deal on all kits purchased today.

I grabbed these:

Hazel Custom (great kit to match my Advance Hazel and ti put the Hrududu to good use)

What to do when u have time to spare during the break?

You fix up the endless backlog and give it some painting with your newly bought Vallejo paints.
Great! No brush marks and damn easy to apply!

So what kit am I painting?
It's yet to be panel-lined and top-coated.
So watch for updates. :p

New shoe?? Not really...

There has been of recent uproar about a friend who posted about his gay pose with his new shoes.
So I reckon I should post image of my so-called 'new' shoe.
Why so?
This shoe was actually bought during my trip in Austria.
I got this from a sale at Humanic (which is coming to Singapore soon!)

Pyschocommu Mecha Systems

The Psychocommu system, is a system whereby the mecha communicates with the pilot via a form of psychological link. The pilot of such a mecha tends to be of an enhanced human (modified lab-born humans). Though not really considered newtypes, they share a similar psychological communication with newtypes.

These mechas seem to have a 'will' of its own. It will either merge with a strong-willed pilot to become a deadly weapon, or else the pilot's mind will get consumed by the mecha's psychological torments.

One noticeable weapon operated by the Quebeley and Quin Mantha (both such mechas), is the bit laser system. Like that of that employed by Providence, Legend and Strike Freedom in the Seed series. These bits will be deployed out under the control of the pilot, firing a network of laser beams to destroy their targets.

Here are some of the mechas operated with such a system, developed by the Axis or Zeon and operated by an enhanced human, Elpe Puru and clone Puru Two, in the Gundam ZZ series.

Akatsuki Shiranui is out!

Finally, the long awaited Akatsuki Shiranui is out!
The kit features it piloted by Mwu instead of Cagali.
But heck! Behold the beauty of the the golden Akatsuki Shiranui.

Enlightened

Little did I realise that Bandai created such a great gimmick to get people to spend their money on the expensive extra-finish kits with matching boxes.
Did I also mention that you aren't supposed to stop at one!

Super Robot Wars

Not to be confused with Super Robot Wars and the rest of the mecha series,
Super Robot Wars is a series of its own, however, the Super Robot Wars games features mechas from many series including Gundam, Patlabor, Evangelion etc.

Nevertheless,
Super Robot Wars has their own creations as well,
like these released under Kotobukiya.

The Huckebein.

The type of mechas contributed by various companies to the Super Robot Wars (SRW), varies with the series of the SRW. For example, this series has got SD Freedom in it. But some prominent figures like Mazinger Z (one of my old school fav.) will always be present.

Here in another of the SRW series, you can spot nu Gundam and Mazinger Z.

Another SRW series features Mazinger Z again! This time you can spot Zeta Gundam and Evangelion.

Virtual-On kits

I was at Hobby Point yesterday when these kits caught my attention.
These models are based on the classic SEGA arcade game, Virtual On.
The look of it is simply fantastic.
I had the urge to grab the black one.
However, after looking at the layout of the build diagram,
it seems that it uses a lot of stickers or decals, while the frame is one plain colour.
But try appreciating the beauty.
Note all 3 models shown below are the different variations of the same model.

Happy Lunar New Year to You!

Takashimaya S.C. SALE!

See what I've gotten from Takashimaya Sale today.

I finally picked up the NG 1/144 Gunner Zaku Warrior (Lunamaria Hawke Custom).

And surprising that they are having a sale of some great Liger Zoids.
I think I should grab them since the 20% sale made these 3000Y and 3500Y rather worth while.
However, both are priced at S$40 after the sale.

The MUGEN Liger armed with 2 sabres that can be deployed on its sides to do a 'dash-&-slice' act.
