The Art of Living, Dare to Dream

There is some spare time in my hands before I go off for lunch.
So maybe I shall check in here and blab some of my theorem.
It is called 'The Art of Living, Dare to Dream?'.
Here's how it goes.

I always ask someone or even myself, "What is your dream?" or even "What is the way you want to live?"
People usually will reply, "Like that lor..." or "I want to earn this much, stay in such a house, drive such a cool car, travel a lot, retire and grow old in a countryside."
The first is usually the more common answer and they feel that or sometimes unconciously feel that they are straggled behind by the pace of society, while the latter are usually people who dare to dream a lot but most of the time is just a day dreamer.
Exceptions do exist.
We are talking about our 'dreams' or you may prefer to use the word 'ambition'.
'Ambition' is a desire or determination to achieve something or a goal, which usually is very real.
'Dream' including 'day-dream' is a series of thoughts sensations in your mind that is conjured by an individual and usually very unrealistic. In other words, 'a self-deluding fantasy'.

Some people dream of being a superhero and they might achieve something close but never too identical.
Some people dream of being rich and famous.
Some people dream of being beautiful.
Some people dream of living a life totally different from present.
There are endless number of dreams conjured up this very moment and it will never cease.
But at the end of the day, "A dream is just a dream and its time to wake up and face reality."

Little people have the courage to make their dreams into reality.
It is not possible but it is very hard.
Of course it depends on the degree of self-delusion, one's dream is.
For example, if you dream of being able see teleport or run at the speed of light, then you are simply overly self-deluded.
But if you want to look like Jessica Alba when you are an asian, no worries, there is nothing plastic surgery can't do.
If you want to swing around in the air like Spiderman, no worries, you can start to apply as a stuntman for Siderman 3.
If you want to be rich and famous, no worries, you just have to work your ass for it in everyway possible.
If you want to live a life different, no worries, you just got to grip your faith tight and make it possible, though not necessary 100% but close.

One must not let oneself sink into the quicksand of society and reality.
When one says that "Society does not allow you to do so!", think again and ask yourself, "Are you sure the society told you not to do something? Or was it yourself?"
Men are usually wise, smart and wary of failure, just like one won't touch a red hot whistling kettle with a metallic handle.
But when this person touches the metallic handle of the whistling kettle, he realised that it wasn't hot at all, this deceiving handle is made of good insulation material and from then on enjoys his hot drink.
The fact is that we are to afraid to try.
One must understand that this cold hard fact of reality.
The society is the environment we live in. The society governs many rules, rights and wrongs for the players.
However, the truth is that the society is there because of people.
We create the society we live in.
One will decide what is the society one wishes to live in, not the other way around.
One is responsible for creating his own society around himself and grow with it.
The society will NEVER be responsible for you, should you fail to stay in the game.
So why should one be bound so tightly by society?
How do you control your society? Tell yourself that I will decide what I want and I will fight for it, you don't have a say.

I always tell others, "You only live once. Live it the way you dream you wish to or you never will."

Ultimately,

Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
