Taiwan 果冻 & 'muah chee'

What is new and hot this Chinese New Year (CNY) of the Dog?
Every year there is something new.
Some years ago there was the roasted flavoured pumpkin seeds.
This year we have these sweets from Taiwan.
'果冻' (Jelly) and 'Muah chee' (glutinousn rice dough with stuffings)

The CNY bazaar is always a crowded one when such an important festival is round the corner.
The streets are always flooded with tourists and locals browsing at the many CNY-related stuff, ranging from decorations to foodstuff.
Well, this year I make an effort to squeeze with the crowd in the bazaar. It is crazy.
But I got these goodies. However, I am quite displeased by the peddler who charge me $10 and claim that they were 600gm! But anyway, its the CNY, I shall not argue much.

The 'muah chee' and '果冻' comes in a broad variety of flavours. The 'muah chee' range from red bean paste and taro to exotic stuffings like wasabi. Wooh! Hot!

The '果冻' comes in a tetra-pack like packaging with the jelly molded into the package. All you have to do is peel and indulge. Some flavours even had a sour plum or preserved prune embedded within.
