'Gourmet Snowskin Mooncakes' is how I will describe these mooncake masterpieces. From the increasingly popular 'Champagne Truffle & Chocolate Ganache' to a much adored 'Rum & Raisins', 'Baileys Chocolate' and the beautiful 'Strawberry and Dark Chocolate'. These assortment of flavours will make this year's 'Mid-Autumn Festival', a perfect one!

A very Oriental design in the form of a cheong-sum.

The circular disc can be removed, revealing a message.

The flipside of the circular disc is a mirror and a stand is included to prop it upright. The butter paper labels the flavour of the mooncake that is below.
2 of each flavours in a box of 8, priced at S$48 per box.

Each snowskin mooncake is printed with a '四川園' (Si Chuan Court), while each flavour is differentiated by its colour and the 'Rum & Raisin Chocolate Truffle' in a unique leaf shape.

Champagne Truffle & Chocolate Ganache
Champagne chocolate ganache encapsulated in a white chocolate couverture. The truffle is surrounded with white lotus paste in a fragrant yellow standard banana-flavoured snowskin. The brilliant blend of the truffle with the conventional white lotus and snowskin, is indeed a masterpiece of taste.

Strawberry & Dark Chocolate
Thick and sweet strawberry cream encapsulated in a dark chocolate couverture, surrounded in with white lotus paste in a sweet pink snowskin. This beautiful piece combination of colours and flavours is well-worth sought for.

Baileys Chocolate
Baileys Irish Cream with chocolate filles the core of this peach coloured snowskin mooncake.

Rum & Raisin Chocolate Truffle
Truffle of rum and raisins surrounded with white lotus paste in a leaf-shaped white snowskin.

Speaking of Champagne Truffle and Chocolate Ganache Snowskin Mooncakes, one will immediately quote Raffles Hotel, where you can find undoubtedly the best but rather expensive one. Nevertheless, an equally priced version from 'Sze Chuan Court' (四川園) at Fairmount Singapore and swissôtel THE STAMFORD, promises an almost identical taste and matching quality; more value for money with a choice of assorted flavours only at Sze Chuan Court. These Western-inspired snowskin mooncakes from Sze Chuan Court are a different genre from the fruit-based snowskin mooncakes from Goodwood Park such as these Oriental-local-inspired 'Mango with Pomelo and D24 Durian'.
The very minute I sank my teeth into these brilliant creations of snowskin mooncakes, I felt physical closer to the meaning of 'Indulgence'. My beloved wife, Fiona, really enjoyed and appreciated this 'sweet' gift of love. Moreover, the early-bird discount of 20% did made them sweeter!

Hi

Happened to browse upon your blog while doing some research. I like your mooncakes & cats pictures: very expressive!

I am actually searhing for pictures on "Doing good deeds: Say good things" for a volunteer children moral sunday class. As i like cats, i decide to use cat as a daily example to educate the children: picture showing a someone trying to kick or throw stone at a harmless cat, and another person step forward to stop him. Then another person upon seeing, praise the person for doing a good deed (action: saying good things.

Do u have such pictures? If yes, really appreciate it if u can share with the children. i notice that the children like to disturb cats whether in school or outside.

Thank you for reading my lor soh mail. Most important of all thank you for doing a good deed!

Got to settle the picture problem before can enjoy the mooncakes. hee.
