After all the scouting around for a suitable bag for my D50, I finally found a second hand Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home on sale a reasonable price. This bag is a padded shoulder bag ideally made to carry a digital SLR with grip, attached standard lens, two to three additional lenses, and accessories. However, mine will be smaller and thus plenty of room for full inventory. The bag is configurable, with an upper padded section and a slimmer lower section. There are four pockets for accessories, and the bag is carried by an adjustable shoulder strap with removable shoulder pad, or carry handle.
I have decided to abolish the thought of buying a Lowepro/Tamrac/Delsey and get a Crumpler (which costs more than the rest) because of the fact that when travelling, a Crumpler will look less like a camera bag and thus less inviting to robberies. I will be collecting the bag tonight from the seller at 11pm and hopefully I can do an update with pictures real soon!
