EATZ: BAB ~ noodle

BAB ~ noodle has been around for a few years and only recently had I visited them at Millenia Walk with Shaun and Randi. BAB ~ noodle is located along the main lobby where the round-about is. Their menu is similar to Just Noodle & Just Acia's, and they even share the same slogan of "Asia's Staple of Noodle & Rice". Though Just Noodle & Just Acia's official website did not state BAB ~ noodle as one of their outlet. I definitely believe that they are affiliated. Nevertheless, all three outlets serves simple Japanese, Korean, Viet and Thai dishes at very affordable prices.

Shirazu or whitebait/ice fish, coated in a tempura batter and deep fried. This tasty whitebait fish is tender and soft inside white crispy on the outside. It goes well with the tartar dip or without. If you have always liked calamari for starters, this shirazu tempura is something different. This dish is ordered as an a-la-carte.

This combination beef noodle is a vietnamese style dish of thin rice noodles served with beef strips and beef balls in a light but tasty clear soup. Mint leaves, onions and lime are provided for diners to add to taste.

This rice set comes with properly prepared chicken teriyaki served with kimchi, pickled radish, miso soup, fresh cut fruits and rice.
Chicken Tori Katsu Rice Set
Fried chicken cutlet with a semi-cooked egg, shredded carrots and nori tops the rice. On the sides are kimchi, miso soup and fresh cut fruits.

Verdict
The wide variety of Japanese, Korean, Viet and Thai dishes to choose from, leaves you spoilt for choices. After flipping the pages back-and-forth, you will probably get lost in it, especially when there are set meals and a-la-carte dishes. Every set meal can be ordered as an a-la-carte dish, which will then be without the sides dishes. The prices of a-la-carte and set meals are similar to those at Just Noodles/Just Acia, which are between S$8.90 to S$18.90. Most sets and a-la-carte dishes are around S$10 which are very cheap. The most expensive dish being the Korean ginseng chicken. The food promises close to the average-class Japanese/Korean restaurants in terms of taste. Compared to Just Noodles/Just Acia, there are no free flow of beverages. BAB ~ noodle has got dining privileges for Citibank credit card holders where diners can get a voucher for a 1-for-1 a-la-carte order on the next visit.
If you are looking for a budget meal when you are at Millenia Walk, and prefer something better than the food court, BAB ~ noodle is your best choice!
