RESPONSE:

Hi Toshi,

I have edited my blog post accordingly. I must thank you for acknowledging me on your blog. It is always heart-warming to be quoted and acknowledged for their works or efforts, especially by a radio celebrity figure like yourself, Toshi. I have to thank 883Jia FM, especially yourself, for bringing us the fabulous programme during the event. The cue was indeed critical and useful for us photographing the fireworks. I immediately recognized one of the piece as the "1812 Overture" by Tchaikovsky, during Spain's performance. When I was home, I flipped through my cd library, tossed in a dusty platter which read "Classical Masterpieces" and pulled the track out. However, for the China's performance, I did not have my receiver and could only make out the faint score playing from stage area, where you were at then. I had no choice but to use a little creativity. I selected "Gao Shan Qing" and remixed it with "Shanghai Nights" from "Exotic Moods revisited". I thought it worked out really fine for me. I had my processor churn out the clips and took much effort to get it uploaded with my "not-so-broad" bandwidth. I am definitely glad that others have enjoyed the edited video clip and more, to be quoted by the event's official radio station's DJ.
Toshi, you rock!

Yours Sincerely,
William Tan

Hello William, paiseh, I am still quite a new bloggie so not very familiar with the method of acknowledgement. But anyway, have added ur link on the posting. By the way, ur pics and videos are simply fantastic. Just curious ... How did u get the music in the video when u actually film it on the opposite end of the floating platform at Marina Bay?

No worries, Toshi! I am glad you have acknowledged me for my pictures and video. Acknowledgment is important to us, after all it doesn't cost anything. It is a form of recognition of effort. I am delighted to have others appreciate them and more, get quoted. I am even most delighted to be able to share with more people. I have edited my post accordingly. Thanks for the compliments. You have done a good job on the photo collage as well!
