Chin Chin Eating House

How to have reasonably-priced hawker foodfare in town? Purivs Street is the place. If you didn't know, Purvis Street is also known by the older generation as Hainan Street, due to the fact that the early settlers of this street were actually the Hainan people. Today, Purvis Street is the place to savour the taste of traditional Hainanese-style cuisine.
I am also a regular visitor of Purvis Street. I have tried all except the more classy food joints in Purvis Street. I usually visit either the 2nd Hainan Street Eating House or Chin Chin Eating House.
Today, I chose Chin Chin Eating House. Just me and Fio, from our experience, we should never order more than 3 main dishes, else we will have to loose the belt! So we ordered 2 main dishes while I asked for a single person's portion of Hainanese chicken. At Chin Chin Eating House, you can choose from a variety of local stir-fry on top of Chef's Recommended Hainanese dishes. You can then ask for white or chicken rice. Chicken stock soup is served alongside FOC.

Big ventilators circulate the air in the easting house.
Chicken rice chilli and minced ginger are a must for me!
We ordered Stir-fried Sambal Leaves of Sweet Potato Plant.

A single portion of traditional Hainanese (aka 'white') chicken soaked in special sesame seed oil and soy sauce mixture.
Clear chicken stock soup is flavour-rich and yet light.
Chicken rice is actually white rice cooked in chicken stock.
Claypot tofu (beancurd), though not traditional Hainanese, but is one of my favourite dish.

I personally quite like the food at First Thai also at Purvis Street. The olive rice, otak, tom yam soup are pretty decent.
