I just bought a hobby rotary tool at $35.90.
I was initially considering the Mr. Hobby G-tools, Tamiya Hand-drill/Router and the Hobby Mate Micro2s.
I settled for the.....
The Micro 2s or Micro Tools.
It comes with a complete set of of parts such as 3x3 sanding paper grades, sand papper attachment, buffer attachment, 2x filing stones and 1 diamond file. I also bought a micro-rotary saw, saw attachment and an engraver attachment from Daiso.
The Micro 2s is powered by 2x AA batteries and works at a 6500rpm. Overall, it is good enough for most micro hobby jobs, but when it comes to cutting pla plates, it is not strong enough and can only cut with a 'cut-and-release' technique.
