About Zeta-MSV
The MSZ-008 Z II is developed under Anaheim Electronics' "Zeta Project" as a space use mobile suit. Using the concept of the MSA-005 Methuss, the complicated transformation used in the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam is simplified and maneuverability is increased. The waverider mode is changed, making atmospheric re-entry and flight on the Earth impossible. Also, the waverider mode has great acceleration surpassing the standard mobile suits of the time. The mega beam rifle is connected to the generator, allowing it a great power equaling that of the Zeta Gundam's hyper mega launcher. Anaheim and the AEUG assume that the Z II will far exceed the capability of other mobile suits developed in UC 0088. The Z II's manufacturing costs are also excellent. However, even though it has great specs there are several problems with the construction. At the AEUG's request, Anaheim places emphasis on completing the MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam. As a result, the project is canceled and the Z II is never built.
