Monday 31st of Jan, 2005, it was an Off-in-liew day for me. After being done with my basic PC case-modding jobs, I decided to drop by Chinatown for a little shopping. I already had the intentions to try out the 'limited-time only' CT8 express bus. The bus service by SBS will bring me from the bus-stop just outside my apartment. To my destination, VISMA CD shop in Chinatown. Let me take you on a visual ride of the bus. Time of departure: 1545h

Chinatown Point, also a popular place during the late 80s, the landmark which marks the beginning (from city) of Chinatown along New Bridge Road. 2 more stops to go and I reached my destination, opposite Pearl Centre. ~ picture taken from Nokia 6230 by myBE@RBRICK

The ride took me only 10mins when it should have usually taken half an hour by MRT train and about 50mins by bus. Well, it only costs me SGD $1.80. I do hope this bus will carry on its service after Lunar New Year, as it will definitely benefit the residents in AMK. Moreover, a win-win situation can be established for the developers in Chinatown as well, when folks find a faster and more convenient way to go to Chinatown at an affordable rate. Apart from Chinatown, we can also take a little walk from Chinatown Point to Clark Quay, which is less than a ten-minute walk.
It was a wonderful trip for me. An eventful one, I guess. A short rendevous with my friend to do a little trade at the bus-stop at Chinatown. I got my new clothes and 3 records.
