EATZ: Bistro 103

Bistro 103 is a gem almost impossible to discover if not for my business counterpart who introduce this place to me. 103 is located in not the easy-to-find places in Singapore, and getting there by public transport is not exactly very convenient and direct. Nevertheless, those who drive will easily find 103 along Pasir Panjang Road.

Spicy & Peppered Squid cubes

This crunchy squids balls are done to perfection in a golden crispy spicy crust.


Crispy Duck Leg

Have you tried fried duck? No? Try this. A huge duck leg sitting on a bed of mash, served along with zuchinni and mushroom.




Escargots & Mushrooms Pasta in Tomato Cream
$15.90
Choose from either cream, tomato or tomato cream base. Either way, it goes great with escargots and mushrooms.



Verdict
If you like going around looking to cool chill out places to savour good food and wine, you have to visit Bistro 103. You are bound to have a good experience! You do not get spoilt for choice with their menu, but every dish is done to perfection and you will never regret with your choice. Make sure you order the Spicy and Peppered Squids, you can never settle for calamari anymore! Try to make reservations, they can get really popular!

EATZ: The Green Room Revisited

If you love greens or you are a strict vegetarian, you will love The Green Room. This is my second visit. You can read more about my first experience here.

Laksa
Savour a guilt-free non-GMO soy milk laksa gravy with thick beehoon served with soy-based mock "prawns" and bean sprouts.

The Green Room Gado-Gado

Thin strips of tempeh, tofu, cucumber, sweet turnip, french beans stacked together and served with nacho chips and a special roasted sweet & spicy cashew sauce.
Portobello mushroom burger
A hearty burger with a juicy slab of portobello, greens and tasty nachos.

The Green Room is definitely a nice place to chill-out any time of the day.
If you prefer to step-out of the restaurant into the "nature" after your meal,
you can savour a glass of wine or just coffee,
and at the meantime, enjoy the fresh cool air and live Jazz.

EATZ: Jai Thai Restaurant

27 Purvis Street has definitely seen many change of hands after Hock Lam Beef Noodles left. The latest tenant is none other than Jai Thai Restaurant. Jai Thai Restaurant has been in Jln Pemimpin and East Coast Road, serving economical and delicious Thai food. The menu consists of a la carte dishes and set meals.

Verdict
Price is cheap and food is very authentic and tasty. Set meals come from a beverage and dessert and cost no more than S$6.80. I thought I had to pay expensive for Thai food at First Thai, but there is now Jai Thai! Once again, we are spoilt for choice for cheap and good food at Purvis Street.
